ABOUT THE PROJECT

The project digit.ALL is based on an in-depth knowledge of the youth environment and of phenomena related to online hate speech, discrimination and stereotypes.

The objective of the project is to prevent and counter violence against women and girls, with a specific focus on verbal violence and instigation to violent acts perpetrated through new online media, in particular, hate speech which include words, images and symbols targeting young girls and vulnerable targets.

The project also aims at promoting an idea of active citizenship among young people, also regarding the use of social media and social networks to promote positive and inclusive messages and counter-narrative to hateful and extremist contents.

The Project has been developed with the financial support of the Italian Government – Presidenza del Consiglio, Dipartimento Pari Opportunità. RiSSC works in partnership with Università Cattolica – Research Center on intercultural relations.
